This was the third year that I shot the Surrey Christmas Tree Lighting event. The event has come a long way since the first time I shot it. Back in 2010, the event took place at Holland Park, right across from the Best Buy. Since 2011 the tree lighting has been taking place at Central City and the tree is supposedly the biggest in Western Canada. The event now draws hundreds of people in with some great headliner bands. This year, the headliner was Dragonette. You probably know them by their hit song “Hello”. I’ve posted up a short video highlighting the night, and some photos of the tree lighting. This is one of my favorite City events!
